McAllister Auditorium at San Antonio College in San Antonio, TX
McAllister Auditorium, located at San Antonio College, is home to many events, concerts and lectures throughout the year.
The auditorium was built in 1957 and can seat 1,000 in two seating areas, the lower mezzanine, or balcony, and the upper balcony. McAllister is shared by two departments within the college, Theater & Communication and Music & Humanities.
Music & Humanites boasts its 50-year-old, full-size organ, built into the walls of the theater when the building was erected.
Theater & Communication hosts its "Children's Show" every fall, a program that brings the theatre to the local community, but more importantly to the area elementary schools.
For those who enjoy the art of theater, history and education all in one, delight in a fun-filled afternoon of talent and vibrant costumes while learning about the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
