The Jazz'S Alive festival takes place in downtown San Antonio in Travis Park. This is a two day event that brings together local and regional Jazz performers delighting Jazz music fans and artists alike. The Jazz'S Alive celebration is a fun and exciting event that your whole family will enjoy. Jazz favorites will be played in various style such as Latin style, straight ahead, fusion, and smooth jazz. The festival offer two stages so there is always something to hear and enjoy available.
The Jazz'S Alive festival is made possible and co-sponsored through a partnership of The San Antonio Parks Foundation, the City of San Antonio Downtown Operations Department and the Parks and Recreational Department. There will be lots of great food available as well. Since Jazz originated in New Orleans it is only fitting that the Jazz'S Alive festival will pay homage to that great city by providing a wide variety of food available from that region. New Orleans culinary delights that will tempt your taste buds and make your mouth water include New Orleans style Jambalaya, etoufee and boudain. There will also be a wide assortment of San Antonio's best loved foods including San Antonio style gorditas, fajitas, aguas and frescas. All proceeds from food sales will benefit the San Antonio Parks Department. No outside food or beverages will be allowed into the Jazz'S Alive event.
Jazz'S Alive promises to be a fun and exciting event that your whole family will enjoy. They feature specaia activities for children at the H-E-B Kids Corner on Saturday and Sunday from 1 P.M. until 5 P.M. The festival will be open on Saturday from noon until 11 P.M. and on Sunday from noon until 10 P.M. Admission to the event if free on both days. Bring your whole family and enjoy a day of great jazz music and delicious food. Stroll though the park and enjoy the beautiful scenery as the sounds of San Antonio fill your ears.
