Gardens by Moonlight is a music festival held in the evening under the moon and stars one Saturday in autumn at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, showcasing local talent with a Tex-Mex flavor. One of the local talents is Texas's own Dale Watson. This year the Gardens by Moonlight will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Besides good music, the visitor will enjoy a variety of culinary delights provided by a local caterer.
Free parking is available at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, and you can also find parking at the Terrell Plaza on Austin Highway. From the plaza there is a shuttle that is free of charge to take you to the Garden.
There is something going on all year round at the
San Antonio Botanical Gardens; a fun filled day in October to celebrate Halloween is the BOOtanica Fall Festival—complete with a costume parade. Children are urged to come in to the festival in their costumes.
