The San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium in San Antonio, TX houses more than 3,500 animals of 750 different species of the San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium.< The zoo is located along the San Antonio River and is spread across 35 acres of land. It offers numerous exhibits for the visitors. It has one of the largest collections of birds in the world. The zoo features a simulated tropical rain forest and free flying birds.
The Aquarium was opened to the public in 1948 and it is considered as the 'world's greatest' aquarium. Kronsky Tiny Tot Nature Spot is a mini zoo that is a favorite spot for the children below the age of five. So do not forget to bring your children here and set them out of the stroller and let them wander off around the mini zoo. There is a place that allows your children to climb, dig, get wet and dirty while they explore the nature over there.
The theme of the exhibit is: Grow with Nature. The zoo organizes different activities on daily basis to ensure that the children have different experiences on different days.

The Zoo Run offers facilities for runners of all ages and abilities including leisure joggers and pro sprinters. The zoo remains open 365 days a year, rain or shine.
