King William Historic District- This historic area is home to the Alamo, possibly the most recognized attraction in San Antonio. You can also find many historic homes and buildings that sprang up in the 1800s. The blend of Victorian and Italian cultures makes this district diverse, entertaining, and enlightening.

La Villita- This neighborhood was actually San Antonio's first. It is now a respected arts and crafts community. The galleries and specialty stores in this neighborhood owes some of its atmosphere to its Spanish beginnings. Shop for art, food, silverware, and more in this exciting district.

The Market Square- This is San Antonio's original Mexican Marketplace. There is a wonderful mix of cultures and styles in this district. Here you can find some of the finest shops and restaurants in San Antonio, while in other parts of the district people sell fresh vegetables straight from their gardens.
