Sea World San Antonio is a family favorite, giving you a full day of rides, animal shows, exhibits, and other exciting experiences with your favorite marine animals. In addition to the famous Shamu show, you can also take a tour of the RL Stine's Haunted Lighthouse 4-D, watch a real live shark feeding, and even feed the dolphins yourself. With rides such as the famous Steel Eel hyper-coaster and the Lost Lagoon splash area on-site, and great shows taking place throughout the day, Sea World San Antonio is the place to go for a fun family experience in San Antonio.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the perfect location for family fun in San Antonio. This theme park boasts almost fifty exciting rides, from mild Wiggles-themed rides for the pint-sized visitors to such mega-coasters and thrill rides as the Scream the Rattler, Fiesta Texas is great for all ages. There are also plenty of live shows that take place throughout the day, special concerts at various times of the year, carnival-style games, video arcades, a Wii room, and plenty of concession stands and restaurants. On hot days from May through September, you can cool off with a visit to the on-site White Water Bay water park. Admission to Fiesta Texas includes the attractions at White Water Bay, giving you access to the 11 water rides, slides, and tube chutes, as well as a huge Texas-shaped wave pool, a kiddie splash area, and a lazy river.

In the heart of downtown San Antonio inside the River Place Mall is the IMAX Theater. This large theater gives you a true IMAX experience, with a huge movie screen, comfortable stadium-style seating, and amazing surround sound. The IMAX Theater plays the most recent Hollywood releases as well as the famous "The Alamo" movie. "The Alamo" lets you relive the history of the Alamo in an up-close and personal way, taking you through the famous thirteen day seige when 189 Texan soldiers held off thousands of Santa Ana's Mexican soldiers until the Alamo finally fell after almost two weeks. Whether you're exploring history with this flick or relaxing after a busy day with the latest Hollywood release, the IMAX Theater is a great place to enjoy a movie in San Antonio.

Also located inside the city is the San Antonio Zoo. The zoo is adjacent to a golf course and botanical gardens, and is also home to an amazing collection of animals from across the world. Your family will love exploring the newly renovated Africa Live exhibit, with giraffes, ostriches, zebras, hippos, lions, and more. The zoo also has indoor an outdoor aviary exhibits, as well as several walk-though aviaries that allow you to walk through areas with free-flying birds. There are also dozens of monkeys, gators, crocs, alligators, reptiles, turtles, and so much more.

Give your family an exciting getaway to San Antonio with a visit to one of these fun family attractions in the area!
